About Me
Rep. Roscoe Bartlett was born in Kentucky. His was
educated in a one-room schoolhouse before going to
Columbia Union College, where he graduated with a B.S.
in Theology and Biology. He later studied anatomy,
physiology and zoology at the University of Maryland.
Upon graduation, he taught at that University while
earning his Ph.D. in Physiology.
Rep. Bartlett is married to Ellen Louise and the two
have ten children and twelve grandchildren. He is a
Seventh-day Adventist and maintains a farm on which he
raises sheep and goats.
Bartlett was first elected to Congress in 1992. That
year, he defeated Thomas Hattery. In his most recent
election, Bartlett defeated Andrew Duck, carrying 59%
of the vote.
