Mike Castle is the longest serving U.S. Representative from Delaware and is currently serving a record two-year term in the House of Representatives. Castle is consistently ranked as one of the most independent Member of Congress by non-partisan publications that cover Congress. Bob Novak has called Castle "the most influential Member of Congress outside Leadership" and Congress.org rated Castle in the top 15% in terms of influence and effectiveness in getting things done. As Governor of Delaware from 1985 to 1993, Castle was rated the number one Governor in the United States. A graduate of Tower Hill, Hamilton College and Georgetown University Law School, Castle was born and raised in Wilmington and still resides there with his wife, Jane.
