About Me
Prior to running for Congress, Marchant served as a local city councilman, mayor and state representative. He served nine consecutive terms in the state legislature and currently serves on the US House Committee on Financial Services, House Committee on Education & Labor, and the House Committee on Oversight & Government Reform, where he is the Ranking Member on the Subcommittee on Federal Workforce, Postal Service, & the District of Columbia
Marchant is a graduate of R.L. Turner High School in Carrollton, Texas, and holds both a Bachelor’s and Honorary Doctorate Degree from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma. He and his wife Donna have raised four children in North Texas and are the proud grandparents to two grandchildren.
