A forth term congressman and a fifth generation Floridian, Adam H. Putnam is the third ranking Republican in the House of Representatives as the Chairman of the Republican Conference, where he is charged with articulating the House Republican message to the public. In addition, Putnam serves on the House Financial Services Committee and the Government Oversight and Reform Committee.
Prior to his election to Congress in 2000, he worked in his family's citrus and cattle business and served in the Florida House of Representatives for four years. Adam and his wife reside in Bartow with their four children. Putnam is a graduate of the University of Florida and is the second youngest member of Congress.
