Connie Mack was elected to Congress in in 2004 to represent southwest Florida. His father previously represented much of the same area in Congress in the 1980's. Mack currently serves on the Transportation and Infrastructure, Budget, and International Relations Committees.
Congressman Mack believes that the most important issue of our time is fighting and winning the war on terror. As a member of the International Relations Committee, Mack has become Congress' leading critic of Venezuela's Socialist President Hugo Chavez and the rapid military build-up, and ever-growing anti-democratic and anti-U.S. actions of the Chavez government.
Mack previously served in the Florida House of Representatives before being elected to Congress. Mack is married to Congresswoman Mary Bono.
