About Me
A six year veteran of the Minnesota State Senate, Michele is widely known around the state as a strong fiscal and social conservative leader, a tireless campaigner, and someone who stands up for what she believes. As a tax litigation attorney, she has seen firsthand how burdensome taxes and government regulations are for individuals and small businesses. Much of Bachmann's work in the Senate focused on working to cut government spending, and to put hard earned money back in Minnesota taxpayers' pockets - where it belongs. Seeking to limit government spending, Michele was the chief sponsor of the Taxpayers' Bill of Rights. Bachmann also authored the bill to repeal Minnesota's death tax, which puts an unfair burden on many of Minnesota's small businesses, entrepreneurs and family farms.
