In 2004, Edward, who is a proud Hispanic American, opened a federally recognized minority owned, 8(a) general contracting construction company to fill an urgent need that he recognized at Department of Veterans Affairs medical centers, while consulting for a company that was working at a local facility. His important work there has resulted in a marked improvement in the quality of care our nation's veterans now receive. When the hurricanes hit the area, Edward played an integral role in restoring order and getting people back in their homes utilizing his vast breadth of expertise and management skills. When he sees a problem or someone in need, Edward leads by example through his actions and immediately seeks to bring about resolution.
