About Me
She is a conservative, pro-life, pro-2nd amendment Republican and a champion of small business. A native of Colorado, she was a school teacher by profession. After teaching in Kansas, she moved to Arizona in 1979. After becoming a mother, she left teaching to become a homemaker, but shortly after, she started a fitness business, which she ran part-time out of her home. During the early 1980's, she also became interested in public policy, initially out of strong admiration for President Ronald Reagan. She became a political organizer and later started her own small consultant and management firm. She focused increasing attention to land-rights issues, and in 1994, became Executive Director of Arizona Mining and Industry Get Our Support (aka AMIGOS), a trade association representing several copper mining interests. In 2005, she became President of the Arizona Mining Association.
